Eagles「One Of These Nights」
8月9日「ウィークエンドサンシャイン」の「サマースペシャル2025」、1975年の音楽特集からもう1曲。リアルタイムでは聴いていないのですが、初めて耳にしたときから、なんとも言えない切なさを感じさせる曲です。
今回あらためて聴いて、その雰囲気の理由を理解できました。渋谷陽一さんの解説によると、イーグルスはウェストコーストの明るいサウンドから暗くクオリティーの高いものに変わっていき、4作目このアルバムが過渡期にあったそうです。そして、1976年あの名作『Hotel California』へと繋がっていったということです。
今回の「サマースペシャル2025」のプレイリストです。番組中盤は鈴木孝弥さんをゲストに招いた1975年のレゲエにスポットを当てたコーナーでした。
かけられなかった1975年の曲が沢山残っていて、8月中は引き続き1975年の音楽中心になるそうです。
